Clara Elgin, a resident at Heartland Senior Living in Neoga, IL for many years, was diagnosed with Covid-19.
Clara is now a “Covid-19 Warrior” since she has now been confirmed healthy and Covid Free!
Clara has a long history of strength and grace. She is a proud mother and grandmother. She had a career as an LPN at St. Anthony Hospital before moving into our independent living apartments. Clara shared her skills as a caregiver by volunteering at Heartland. She moved into our main community about 4 years ago.
Clara tells us her favorite thing to eat is “fried potatoes” and she enjoys working on puzzles and collecting cups from different states.
Her claim to fame at Heartland (among employees and other residents) is that she can recite the alphabet backwards!
When we asked her family their thoughts on her long life and beating the Covid-19 virus was they said:
Mom always took vitamins and no other medicines. That’s why she is in such good health!
